Wallace's ATR, 1888, Vol. VII: Bred by Eliphalet Coleman, passed to EZRA BENEDICT, Williamstown, Vt., then to Kimball & Kent, Northfield Vt, then to Enoch Martin, Washington Vt., in whose property he died about 1882. Also was said: he was kept in Williamstown Vt., until he was over 20, excepting 1861/62, when he was in Illinois. Good head, neck, body, legs & tail. Progeny: 7 colts, 5 fillies. Sired 1 trotter under 2:30. Not trained for track, but very fast--won 26 races. In Wallace's ATR Vol. VI, p.184 was entered a wrong name under ATR # 3474 (Hutchinson Morrill/ATR 6798).
