generally called WARRIOR; because his dam was black called also BLACK WARRIOR. Bred in Belleville, Ontario, Canada; Wallace's ATR, 1874, Vol.2, p.439 (WARRIOR); p.128 (BLACK WARRIOR); owned by Mr. Johnson/Johnston, when removing to Michigan, got lame on the way, and was traded to a Mr. Barnes, 20 miles south of London, C. W./Canada (Lake Erie), who kept him till he died. He was very well formed, fifteen and three fourth hands high, and resembled an English Hunter; No information about his death.
