Not to be confused with CHAPPIE JC110063. CHEPPY (JC # not found): Chestnut stallion, foaled 1918. Sired by Bouvard, out of Halcyon Cotton. Bred by George S. Patton, Jr., San Gabriel, CA., who later became known as US General George Patton. Sometimes incorrectly spelled Chappy, Chappie, Cheppie, Chippy, Chippie. Records indicate this stallion was used by Bixby from 1921, possibly thru 1930). His progeny record is pretty hazy, no Jockey Club foals could be found. He sired at least three (3) known Bixby bred foals....PEACOCK, a pre-registry Appaloosa, ROWDY an unregistered palomino stallion, out of a Bixby Mare by *Jameel AHR 77. His unregistered palomino son CROWDER, went on to sire Masquerade AQHA 2032, Powder AQHA 2033 (who appears in the pedigree of the great FILLINIC AQHA), Rita De Mia AQHA 4100, Dart AQHA 9074, etc; BIXBY PALOMINO MARE dam of BRAVO PHA 2030.
