Chico was one of Australia’s premium stallions, having won in all disciplines himself and producing top class performers in all disciplines. Chico was 6 times Royal Show Champion – 2 Sydney, 2 Brisbane, 2 Melbourne as well as National Supreme Champion Palomino. He competed and won to Medium level Dressage, had 2 starts O.D.E (under Dennis Piggott) and won both. He then went to Showjumping – His major talent- where he won many Grand Prix, was long listed for the Montreal Olympics in 1976 and was 3rd in the pre- Olympic trial in 1976. However, it was as a sire he really made his mark, siring Champion Showjumpers, Palomino’s, Eventers, Dressage horses, Hacks, Western Horses and Campdrafters.
