The ApHC Stud Book lists his pedigree as sired by “Kiamichi Mountain Choctaw stallion”, out of “Kiamichi Mountain Choctaw mare”. The Spanish Mustang Registry pedigree states his sire is “Kiamichi Mountain (SSMA 44)-- sired by La Flores Family Choctaw, out of Miss Kiamichi (Self Family program); out of the unregistered Spanish Mustang mare “Lightfoot” (Choctaw stud X Choctaw mare). Chief Pushmataha has sired registered Spanish Mustangs, as well as registered Appaloosas.
