Bred by Alexander John Alexander, Woodburn Farm, Kentucky. Arrived in Sydney September 08, 1882; imported by Andrew Town, of Richmond, N.S.W.; dropped death October 28, 1889 at Clarendon. A post-mortem examination disclosed the fact the cause of his death was a bursting blood-vessel. Source: Wallace's Monthly, 1889, Vol. XV.,January 1890, ps.917-918. He sired in the Hobartville stud. The death of such a well-bred and handsome horse is a great loss, not only to the Howkesbury district but to the whole colony.
