Creg Coneera (NOT Conneera) was on the Connemara Pony Breeders Society stallion List 1950-56. He spent six years with custodian John Hoban, Inverin and one with Martin Walsh, Rosmuc. He spent '57 at the Stepaside stables in Dublin and was sold in '58 to Alexander Bennett, Altringham, Cheshire. Through his sire Creganna Winter he carried the valuable thoroughbred blood of Winter. His dam was the prize-winning Lougheera, a winner at the Society Show at Carna in '41 and '43 for owner/breeder Pat Sullivan of Loughconeera, Kilkerrin. Buckskin turned grey. Small flesh mark nose, off fore leg, off hind pastern & off hooves white. Exported to the UK, where owned by Monkcastle Stud, Cumbria and Sheila Clark’s Lammermuir Stud, Scotland. Sire of many good performance ponies. A son Lammermuir Cocksfoot was first horse for Britain’s first Paralympic Equestrian gold medalist.
