A good little horse, with pluck enough for the biggest that ever trotted. A fine full eye, low over the withers, with an oblique shoulder, and fine back and muscles.
Brought from Mass., to NY., 1834. He beat Edwin Forrest in a match for $10,000, three-mile heats, over the Hunting Park Course, in 1838.
Pedigree in Wallaces American Stud-Book [1867], vI, p949, gives sire as Bush Messenger.
