Dapple Buck was purchased as a yearling by Joe Arrott for $1500. Joe and wife, Becky, raised, trained and owned him until Buck passed away in 1990. The horse changed colors with practically every season -- his mane and tail were salt & pepper....very dappled most of the time. He sometimes looked chesnut, and other times shined like a copper penny. He had a huge heart, willingly did most anything asked of him. He was gentle around everyone, and had quite a personality. Joe Arrott rodeoed on this horse, worked ranches, roped, steer wrestled....the horse did anything, and did it very well. Joe always said, Buck could spin on a dime and give back nine cents change.
