An unraced Virginia-bred son of the Mr. Prospector stallion Fappiano, Desert God stood at Fred and Linda Alexander’s A & A Ranch near Anthony, New Mexico, from 2001-13. He did not cover any mares in 2013 and was pensioned due to advancing age and fertility issues, and he lived the last years of his life at Allen’s farm. Desert God was the leading sire in New Mexico from 2010-12. At the time of his death, he had sired 136 winners and 25 stakes winners from 180 starters. His runners have earned $14,767,822 and include Peppers Pride, who earned $1,066,085 and retired in ’09
