He was an agent for sending Arabian horses to Europe 1876 DJERID was a presentation gift to Weil Stud - Germany from the Khedive Ismail. (Ismail ruled Egypt as Viceroy and later Khedive from 1863-1879) DJERID served at Weil from 1876 to 1890 He was the sire there of nine purebred registered Arabian foals
