Donaukaiser has been called the “gold-plated” sire. He has an incomparable capacity for dynamic, uphill movement. His canter has been described as “a dream.” He combines the excellent genetics of the prepotent Klosterhof sires, Hohenstein and Caprimond, with the blood of the federal champion elite mare family of Donauquelle. Both his sire and dam have achieved elite status. From his mare line come many states premium and elite mares. Donaukaiser was the highest price horse at the 1999 Klosterhof elite auction. At his performance test he achieved a rideability index of 128 points and an overall score of 116, which earned him fourth place. He is successful in dressage at sport horse championships. His first foal crop convinced completely: large-framed and of excellent type, with superior movements and beautiful dark coats.
