Died 1866, Fairfield, ME, age 24, from breaking leg in stall. Wallace's ATR, 1874, Vol.2, p.183/184 - no information about his sire; v3, p175, gives sire as Imported Buzzard. AMHR vI, p966 (index of non-Morgan sires) gives sire as unnamed thoroughbred. In vol 3 p 175 sire given as a 3yo son of Buzzard. Dam bred by Mark Pease, Jackson, ME, called BOSTON GIRL; Given as by SIR HERNY, a grandson of AMERICAN ECLIPSE. Dam of BOSTON GIRL given as LADY JANE by WINTHROPE MESSENGER. Dr. Axel von Chapeaurouge's book: Traber-Hengst-Register und Stutenlinien - 1928 by Persiehl, Hamburg (Germany) says p.97 (DREW HORSE: sire: 3 years old o.o.
