A gray Arabian mare, she was brought to England and presented to Sir Charles Cockerell by Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany. Cockerell returned to England in 1801 after extensive service in India. The General Stud Book, 1814, Supplement for 1808, p.62 Offspring: 6 (~1806-1812, barren 1813); all foals grey Foundation Mare Family 59 Family 59 is a minor family which nevertheless survives until the 1990s without producing any horses of much consequence. Dam of a son Shah Allum (by Giles) of little account, and an unnamed mare by Young Whiskey which carries the maternal line forward. Owner: Sir Charles Cockerell, 1st Baronet
