Sire of numerous part-Arabs, including 18 Foundation Registered Appaloosas; 100% Crabbet; Foaled April 4, 1932; W.K. Kellogg bred Ferras AHC #922, the chestnut Arabian stallion. Ferras was prominent among the Arabian stallions that Thompson used to improve the small number of existing Appaloosa horses when working with a group of breeders to establish the Appaloosa registry. Purchased in 1952 by Marjorie Van Gilder, Wasco Oregon.
