There was a rumor that Gay Corrib may have been out of Fox Ridge Irish Lady & that papers were mixed up in an emergency rescue starvation case involving the whole farm. Take with a grain of salt, but worth a note.
(Added by CHN, 2024) My godparents rescued a couple of yearlings from that sale & it was a mess. Many of Fox Ridge White Star's descendants all share her expression, color, & markings, so I give her the benefit of the doubt. Whatever the real story, she & Fox Ridge Irish Lady (dam of Aladdin) were 3/4 sisters, both by Texas Pride & out of mares by Dun Lorenzo.
Gay Corrib had at least one other foal at Gilnocky Farm, also by Gilnocky Mulling, who became a police horse in NYC.
