GHALII, presumably at Michigan State, had a touch of ill temper. The story told is that he got peeved and started kicking his stall. He kicked hard enough to break his leg. That made him mad, so he kicked hard enough to break the other leg. Exit GHALII
Note to future SE owners. SE stallions are exceptional, they do not tolerate being enclosed in a box stall, or isolated from a normal life. For them to stay healthy and happy they need to be able to go to pasture with their buddies, to spend time with their person and to do things just like a regular horse. Do these small favors for your stallion and your relationship with him will be well blessed. I am saddened by his story because I own and enjoy SE mares and stallions thoroughly with out any difficulties. SE will lay their lives down for the persons that they love. They are by nature very devoted
