bred by S. C. Wells, La Roy, New York; passed to George H. Ketcham, Toledo, Ohio. Was sold March 1893 to the Austro-Hungarian monarchy (Wiener Trabrenn-Verein) [Vienna Trotting Club]; in his first year in Europe he sired in Germany/Bavaria (Königlich Bayerisches Landgestüt Landshut/ Landstallmeister Peter Adam, who was very committed to Bavarian trotter- breeding and trotting sport: in 4 years he bought 6 original american Standard-sires. 1893 GOTHATUM, 1894 DUTCH JIM, 1895 BROTHER G./ELY SEE/ THE WASSER, 1896 YANTAR;/ Offspring: 11 products in Germany; sired in Austro-Hungarian monarchy ~70; owned by Königl. Kaiserl. Ackerbau-Ministerium [Department of Agriculture]. He sired for many years in Hatschein, Hengstdepot/ stallion depot in Olmütz, Mähren/Moravia, (now Hejčín-Olomouc, Czech Republic); Olmützer Trabrenn-Verein (Olomouc Trotting Club); I have not found any reference to his death, he was still alive in 1906.
