| The Arabian was owned by Sir William St Quintin (1662-1723), 3rd bt, whose seat was at Harpham Hall in the East Riding of Yorkshire. His father-in-law was Sir William Strickland (1596-1673), 1st bt, of nearby Boynton, Yorkshire. He represented Kingston-upon-Hull in the House Commons from 1695 until his death.
