Imported Highflyer, 4112. In GB only 1 GIMCRACK MARE in General Stud Book, o.o. HARAS by CAPTAIN! NO MORE!!!
Wallace's Monthly 1876: The imp. Highflyer of this pedigree is not the horse of that name that was taken into Virginia in 1788, but one that was imported by the Messrs. Rhinelander of New York, in December, 1796. He was by Highflyer in England, and out of a Gimcrack mare, running into the pedigree of imp. Glencoe at the fifth remove. This is the Highflyer that occurs in northern pedigrees, and he can be found in Wallace's Stud Book, Vol. II. He was several years, immediately after his arrival, at and about Bloomfield, New Jersey.
