Trakehnen Main Stallion Book N 289 (SBTRK I, HR 321). Original Arabian. Born in Kurdistan. (Note: Original Arabians do not come from Kurdistan!) Purchased in Istanbul in 1817 by Chief Veterinarian G. Gottlieb Ammon (TRK); Trakehnen Main Stud 1818-1825; died in 1826. He can rightly be described as one of the finest horses of Ammon's purchase; he also displayed surprisingly great energy and stamina in his movements, even under the heaviest rider. Several of his offspring born in Gurdszen reached a considerable height (up to 172 cm), although they sometimes lost some harmony in their proportions. Nevertheless, he brought significant benefit to the Trakehner stud.
