Bred in the Orient Main Stallion Book Trakehnen N 311 A (SBTRK I, HR 325); 48031108 Purchased by G. G. Ammon in 1816/1817 along with five other stallions in Anatolia for the Friedrich Wilhelm Stud. There, he alone sired 90 very good state stallions by 1837. Main Stud Friedrich Wilhelm 1818-1836. KOYLAN was a particularly typical representative of his breed and remained unchanged in appearance well into old age. He gained a high reputation throughout the continent due to the quality of his offspring. He probably benefited the FWG more through his numerous outstanding daughters than Turcmainatti, whose sons, however, were considered superior to his daughters. He was killed in 1837. General Stud Book, 1847, Vol. 1, p. 421; Sire line: Saglawi Gidran Dam line: Koheila Adjuze
