LAMB APPALOOSA . M, APPALOOSA,
| Guy Lamb said he once owned eight top m'amin studs. These included Knobby, the George Webb Leopard, Baby Patches and their best offspring. Glen Lamb told Palmer Wagner that Guy was not the breeder of Baby Patches and that Guy had Baby Patches from Nespelem. Nespelem was on the Colville Indian Reservation northwest of Hawk Creek Ranch. So Baby Patches was not related to Knobby as many had believed. They were both from old Indian stocks and both were Guys owned. “The broodmares that Lambs owned in the area in the 1930's were the best that could be found. There was nowhere better".
