One of the best sophomore performers of 1981. The son of Meadow Skipper and the great mare Hobby Horse Tar was bred in Kentucky by Stoner Creek Stud. Though he did not race at 2, he made his mark on the sport at 3 when he captured such classics as the Adios and the Review Futurity. Landslide went into the Little Brown Jug as a favorite, but was involved in a horrifying accident that many thought would be the end of his career. Landslide, however, rebounded and took his 1:54.1 mark less than a month later at Lexington. The big bay ended his career after just one season on the track and earnings of $162,835, and headed to Stonegate Standardbreds to begin his breeding career. He sired 87 starters in his first season, led by Glenns Super Star p,4,1:54.1 ($475,047). The following year Landslide sired his best performer in millionaire Run The Table p,3,1:51, who has gone on to be an accomplished Canadian sire. Died August 27, 2003.
