Leo Bingo was bred by Walter Merrick in Oklahoma. Leo Bingo was by Leo and out of Beggar Girl, a stakes placed daughter of the Thoroughbred stallion Beggar Boy.

Leo Bingo made 22 starts, won five races, and earned $3,015 on the track. He was only the second AAA racehorse to earn a Performance Register of Merit after he retired from racing. He was a winner at halter and in cutting. Leo Bingo sired 367 AQHA registered foals. Some of his most notable offspring include Beggar Bingo, an Australian Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame inductee; Chickasaw Bingo, the 1969 Open NCHA Non-Pro Cutting Futurity Champion; and Banjos Bingo, a sire of numerous cutting horses.
