Imported to Connecticut 1766, age 4, by CT Secretary of State George Wyllys. Sold c1775 to Colonel Lindsey of Virginia, & taken south. advertised by Nickoll in 1770 as Barb from England. In Connecticut called RANGER; Bruce's ASB, 1873 - revised 1884 - Vol.1 (A-L), and sires; pp.145/146.
