T 2:17 Bred by Leland Stanford, Menlo Park, Cal. passed to Marcus Daly, Anaconda, Mont. Record 2.18, was sold to Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, owned by Leopoldine (Poldy) McPhee (nee Herzog, oo Barawitzka and later von Schlichegroll, died December 1902). She had leased him to Germany for a few months shortly before her death, Deutsches Haupt-Traber-Gestüt LILIENHOF near Ihringen am Kaiserstuhl, Baden [Württemberg]. She was very ill and, anticipating her death, had him brought back quickly. Was sold in 1903 to Russia. He can be the sire of TOMATE (*1902) o.o. Tumannaja, winner of German Trotting Derby, but he has to share his claim with JUNIO (*USA).
