AKA J. Morwick Ball, Young Morwick Ball/Germany, was bought in England by Graf Plessen-Ivenack (Mecklenburg-Schwerin), Germany, with mare HERODIAS in 1785/1786 - but HERODIAS is a COLT, !, a female HERODIAS cannot be proven in any General Stud Book!; Name MORWICK BALL was given by Graf Plessen-Ivenack; it was said THE NAME OF HIS GRANDFATHER. Was stolen by the Napoleon Army and came never back. It is said that all documents of him where also stolen; For this reason there is also no mother. Siegfried Graf Lehndorff says, that this horse cannot be considered a Thoroughbred. OLD MORWICK BALL (*1762 bred by Stephen Vavers) died January 4, 1787 the property of Stephen Vevers of Morwick near Leeds, Yorkshire; Founding sire of Ivenack Stud, but also a big problem in breeding Thouroughbreds and Hanoverian breeding. Celle bought 43 (!!) sires which go back in direct line to MORWICK BALL.
