AKA ARABER OX - Neustädter; bred by Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gestüt, Neustadt an der Dosse; When the Friedrich-Wilhelm Stud fled from Napoleon's troops in 1806, NESSUS fell into the hands of the French near Lübeck. It later came into the possession of General Graf von Hammerstein, Kassel. He was then bought from the General for two selected mares and 300 thalers in 1810. So he came to the Stud Senner-Gestüt Lopshorn of Fürst (Count) zur Lippe-Detmold near Augustdorf/Senne; died 1822;
