Nevada, la jument de base de Mme S. Garde-Ehlert, mère de l´excellente Neschi (par Kilimanjaro). The chestnut mare 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗮, foaled in 1970 at Russia’s renowned Tersk Stud, represents one of the successful blends of Egyptian and Russian Arabian bloodlines that shaped modern international breeding. She was sired by the influential Egyptian stallion Aswan (Raafat), a son of Nazeer out of Yosreia. Gifted to the Soviet Union by Egypt in 1963 during the construction of the Aswan Dam, Aswan introduced a refined Arabian type—expressive eyes, a dished profile, and elegant tail carriage—that would become a hallmark of many of his descendants, including Nevada. Nevada’s dam, Naina, contributed equally important heritage. Her sire Nil was one of the Egyptian stallions imported to Tersk, while her maternal line traced to Mammona, the famous “Queens of Tersk". Mammona was founder of a treasured Russian mare family. Exported to Germany as a two-year-old, Nevada became a foundation mare at Henry Garde’s Gut Alemich Stud, where her pedigree combined Egyptian refinement with the strength and reliability of Russian breeding. Nevada proved an exceptional broodmare. Her son Nego became Senior Champion Stallion in Paris in 1984, while her daughter Neschi founded a distinguished breeding dynasty. Four generations—Nevada, Neschi, granddaughter Nascha, and great-granddaughter Menascha—were each awarded the German Elite Mare title. From this same line came the celebrated show mare Essteema, out of Menascha, who became the first female European Triple Crown winner, further confirming the remarkable consistency and global impact of Nevada’s maternal family 👉Read more here: https://ahdb.eu/public/focus/982 📷Photo: Balashkin Collectıon Owner: Henry Garde, Gut Alemich Stud, Germany Breeder: Tersk Stud, Russia
