presented to Lady Stanhope in Palmyra, Syria - offered to M. de Portes during his mission and imported to France in 1821. In France, purchased by the Duchess of Angoulême and sent to the H. R. du Pin in 1824. Stayed through 1833; moved to H. R. de Pompadour at the end of 1833. A highly regarded mare of great beauty. Barren in 1830, 1833, 1838, 1842, 1843, and 1845.
