Padischah O A 1826 was a grey stallion bred in the desert by the Muntafiq (Bedouins - Iraq)
Taken from them in battle by Daoud Pasha, (Turkish)Governor of Bagdad, and by him given to one MacDonald, British Ambassador to the Persian Court. In 1838 Padischah O A was purchased in England for use at Weil (Stud - Germany)
He was the sire at Weil of Czebessie V m gr 1840 (x Czebessie IV 1835)Reference:
