PERT . C, THOROUGHBRED, ~1702
| (GB)
Probably a chestnut. Born 1700-1705, if not earlier, bred in the Ancaster stud in Lincolnshire, probably by the Earl of Lindsey (later 1st Duke of Ancaster). Stood at the Ancaster stud. It appears that he is the same horse as 'Old Pert' by Ely [Bay] Turk by Lister Grey Turk [which would make Ely Turk and Champion the same horse, and Osberton Arabian and Lister Grey Turk the same horse]
