John Field, a farmer in Springfield VT owned her mother and bred her to a stallion from Chester VT. She was born in April 1830. At 4 years she was sold to Fredrick Leland. She proved to be too skittish for Leland and he traded her to Rufus Rising. She was later sold to Col. William H. Cook, Ticonderoga, NY; and then to J.W. Holcomb, Ticonderoga, NY. She had many foals and died in 1851 while in-foal.
