Quashed is an example of the collateral damage the Jersey Act caused to England's own racehorses. This mare is the greatest English racemare of the century, and she couldn't be put in the studbook, not because of her American line (Umpire RH), because he was already in the studbook, but because the Quashed bloodline of Shogun could not be verified all the way back. She was entered into the studbook after the Jersey Act was rescinded in 1949.
