Angloarabian Half-bred (półkrew angloarabska) Ramzes was bred at the Wojcieszków Stud and purchased at the beginning of 1940 for the State Stallion Stud in Janów Podlaski. In July 1944, Ramzes together with the entire herd of stallions from Janów Podlaski was evacuated to Germany. After the end of the war, most of the Polish breeding horses in Germany were returned, leaving a few especially talented in the sport in Western Germany. Among them was Ramzes, then ridden by Lieutenant Bielecki. Eventually Lt. Bielecki emigrated to Canada, and sold Ramzes to Baron Clemens von Nagel-Doornick, the owner of the Vornholz Stud (Westphalia). During the first years of his stay in Vornholz, Ramzes competed in equestrian competitions under the excellent German horseman Brinckmann, achieving good results on national level. His accomplishments in breeding were even more impressive: Ramzes gave rise to a large group of outstanding sport horses, who were also distinguished in breeding. There was a time when every famous rider in West Germany rode a horse descended from this stallion. HLP Ramzes founded two legendary sire lines: - Ramiro Z international showjumping - Rubinstein international Grand Prix dressage 1 Owner: Baron Clemens von Nagel-Doornick, Gestüt Vornholz, Germany Breeder: Countess Maria Plater-Zyberk, SK Wojcieszków, Łuków district
