Francis (Frankie) was brought to the Lupkes farm to be the herd sire after Jake was sold. However, six months after Frankie arrived, the American Cream association adopted rules for JEB testing. Although not required, Frankie was tested and was found to be a JEB carrier. After careful consideration, they chose to search for another herd sire. When Ackerman's Dan came to the Lupkes farm, Frankie was gelded and traded to the Livelys in VT for a future colt to replace Dan.
