Sagar had one offspring, a colt named Grand foaled at Gumniska Stud, Poland, in 1944. The following year the Germans ordered the evacuation of Gumniska to Poznan. Unfortunately the evacuees were caught between retreating Germans and advancing Russians, and most of the horses, including Sagar, were killed. Thankfully yearling Grand survived. He stood at Michalow after the war, siring two notable stallions who were also used at the stud, Mokan and Kord, plus *Dokhailan, an in-utero export to USA.
