*Seekers Warrior ICHO-94-D; ABC-1533 DNA: Aa, Ee, Dd; KRT25/n heterozygous curly His bloodline is B2B: SanSan 1/2 50.0% (B2B x QH because dun) Damele 3/8 37.5% Mustang-SW 1/8 12.5% Belying a mishmash pedigree, this stallion was a very prepotent stockhorse; he upgraded quality over almost all mares and imprinted most of his foals with increased stockhorse quality & sometimes size. His dam was a curly mare that took one's breath away. Her "Berndt Range Horse" sire must have had a dash of QH in him, as she was red dun (according to Ernie all Berndts were sorrel & chestnut). Her sire must have been phenomenal—Warriors Berndt Sue was by far Miss Berndt Warriors finest daughter. We never got a good photo of Warriors Berndt Sue, but she put most QH mares to shame. Evidently, Seekers Warrior inherited most of his genetics from her, and passed most of it forward. His intelligence & temperament and that of his foals, were what I compare the rest of the Curly Stockhorse breed to.
