Of the seven Arabian stallions used, only SIGLAVY founded a separate dynasty of Lipizzan horses. This arab horse born 1810 Syria, came to the Stud in Lipizza in 1816, bought by Fürst/Count Schwarzenberg; The Siglavys typify the Arab Lipizzaner with aristocratic heads, a slender neck, high withers and a relatively short back. Siglavy also founded a sire line in the Shagya-Arab breed that traces to modern times.
