Ste-Anne Marquis de Becancour (#3544), a black stallion which was also a product of the Government breeding programs, was born June 1, 1952 at St-Anne de la Pocatiere. He was owned successively by the Director of the St-Anne Experimental Farm, Etienne Gagnon of Viger QC, Arsene Bérubé of Cacouna QC, and in 1958, the La Gorgendiere Provincial Farm School.
His sire was the black stallion Bazola de Becancour (#2485) and his dam the chestnut mare Ste-Anne Hisola (#3272).
