Died 2002. Out of Princess Zena, by Habitat, Supreme Leader raced for Marcos Lemos and Newmarket trainer Clive Brittain. He won the 1986 Earl of Sefton European Breeders’ Fund Stakes (Eng-G3) and Newmarket and Westbury E. B. F. Stakes (Eng-G3) at Sandown. After placing in the Guineas, he finished fourth behind winner Slip Anchor in the Epsom Derby (Eng-G1) His place among the leading National Hunt stallions was assured by sheer weight of numbers, although Supreme Leader sired a number of top-class performers. They included Supreme Glory, winner of the 2001 Welsh National (2nd English Grand National, 3rd Scottish Grand National), and What\'s Up Boys, winner of the ’01 Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup Steeplechase and runner up to Bindaree in this year\'s Grand National Steeplechase
