Tajar, born 1814, was imported by Baron von Fechtig for the Royal Stud Weil, Germany, in 1817 (together with Bairactar). He was a Saklawi Djedran, desertbred from Syria. Source: königliche Pferde - die arabische Pferdezucht der württembergischen Könige by Gudrun Waiditschka He should NOT be confused with the flea-bitten grey Tajar 1794, imp. 1812 by Baron von Fechtig for Count Hunyady in Hungary or any of the later Tajars at Weil. The name was given frequently!
