Coal Horse was the sire of The Black Horse Who Broke His Back and Eddie Allcocks Black Horse, the two brothers were bred by Martin Cawley who then sold them as a pair to Larry Connors. Mrs Allcock brought one and the other was sold at Smithfield Fair to Andrew Moulden who then sold him to Gykes and he was known as The Gykes Black Horse, Moulden brought him back off Gykes and sold him to Tommy Tucker, he broke his back and died with him and was known as The Black Horse who Broke His Back.
