“SAGO CHIEF`s dam [TOQUELLA] was a black & white ¾ Arabian mare, noted for her great ability to jump, frequently seen at San Diego horse shows in 1927 to 1931. For three generations on the dam`s side, the color has been black and white, with the Arabian blood predominating”. Taken from a 1945 advertisement of SAGO CHIEF, standing at Pansy Keene`s Ranch.
