“SAGO CHIEFs dam [TOQUELLA] was a black & white ¾ Arabian mare, noted for her great ability to jump, frequently seen at San Diego horse shows in 1927 to 1931. For three generations on the dams side, the color has been black and white, with the Arabian blood predominating”. Taken from a 1945 advertisement of SAGO CHIEF, standing at Pansy Keene`s Ranch.
There is no mention of any of the Arabians in this pedigree.
