The Austrian government undertook to procure such a horse for Prussia, and it was announced that a stallion named Turc-Main-Atti had been purchased in Damascus, arrived in Vienna, and could be collected by Prussia. Professor Naumann was sent to take possession of it. There he found a fine, brown stallion, 5 feet 2 inches tall, which, judging by its size, build, and strength, did not appear to be a purebred Oriental.
