Vanny Bar was foaled in 1959 and was bred by J. P. Lomax of Claremore, Oklahoma. Vanny Bar was by the Thoroughbred stallion Three Bars and out of Miss Vandy, by Vandy, one of the few Thoroughbreds that was ever registered with the AQHA. Vanny Bar’s known pedigree was more than 75% Thoroughbred.

Vanny Bar made 17 starts and won 2 races. His two wins were at Garfield Downs in Enid, Oklahoma and Centennial Race Track in Littleton, Colorado. Vanny Bar was owned by Wes Mickle and Chas W. Mickle. He stood at the Valley View Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona. His son Wholeheartedly was exported to Australia and then New Zealand where he sired numerous Quarter Horses.
