He was imported into England 1751 as a present from the Dey of Algiers and owned by Sir William Wolseley, 5th Baronet. He stood at Wolseley's seat of Wolseley Hall, Wolseley Bridge, Staffordshire, 1755-1769. He covered at a fee of 3 guineas, which later rose to 5 guineas. Sire of eight recorded progeny, including two minor winners, and of Riddle, dam of good class racehorse Barbary (1775 Craven Stakes) 3rd dam of Black Puss (2nd 1793 Oaks) and ancestress of top class racehorse Fitz-Emilius (1845 Prix du Jockey Club and many other good races).
